The Frederick Brothers, who recorded with Columbia Pictures, (Colpix Records) have been singing together since they were all small boys. Raised in a very Christian, athletic and musical family, their talent has been a gift from God. They were all taught to sing at early ages from their mother and dad. One of the greatest influences was their grandfather, Roscoe Frederick, who was a preacher in N.C. He taught himself how to read as a youngster by going to Sunday School memorizing Bible verses and would come home to find and read those verses in the Bible The two oldest, Carlton and Bob, sang with their dad, John Frederick as The Frederick Trio starting when Carlton was only 7 and Bob was 4. The four brothers, Carlton, Bob, Larry and Don have been singing together as The Frederick Brothers since the 1950's. They signed a recording contract with Columbia but with two brothers playing football in college and the other two married, they decided to forego a show business career. All had football scholarships to the University of North Carolina or Wake Forest University. When they performed on Dave Garroway's Today Show on NBC, they appeared in their football uniforms. Today, all four brothers are in the Sport's Hall of Fame for Goldsboro, North Carolina and Wayne County. They have participated in two USO tours to Southeast Asia singing to wounded men during the Vietnam War. Over the years, they have appeared all over the United States in scores of functions, predominately religious events. These include performances at the Pentagon and at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. The Frederick Brothers have appeared twice on the PTL Club television program.

More recently, they continue singing in predominately church-related functions and revivals up and down the East Coast. They sang at the International Music Festival in Chicago for Kawai America and in Anaheim, California for Hammond Organ Company for dealers from all over the world. They have also recently sung at the Four Seasons Holiday Inn Ballroom in Greensboro, North Carolina for the N.C. Business Professionals in Education. They appeared at the Sheraton Convention Center in Atlantic Beach, N.C. for the North Carolina Athletic Directors. Last week they appeared at the McGregor Down's Country Club in Cary, N.C. and the Wilson Country Club in Wilson, N.C. for the Rotary Club. In April of 1998, they performed a concert at the Crystal Cathedral for Dr. Robert Schuller.

Carlton, the oldest of the brothers, had a triple heart bypass operation in 1992 and was back singing and witnessing within a few weeks of his surgery. He and brother, Bob own and operate Frederick's Music Co. in Goldsboro, N.C. Larry and Don both own their own insurance agencies. The brothers have produced a new tape that is selling well and they are planning to make another tape soon. They sing at different engagements a few times a month as well. They are avid golfers, and wonderful parents as well as grandparents. Carlton has 4 children and 12 grandchildren, Bob, 3 children and 5 grandchildren, Larry, 3 children and 2 grandchildren, Don, 5 children and 1 grandchild. The Frederick Brothers also have one sister, Linda who has 4 children.
